On The Road

Well, we made it as far as Greenville, SC last night and all of us were ready to stop. Kit indicated so by hiding under the passenger seat of the car when we stopped to eat and for a heart-stopping moment, I thought she had slipped out of the car when I did. It was dark, the roads had damp places on them, and we decided the world might look a little better in the daylight.

We slept OK and as soon as we eat breakfast, we'll get underway. The interstates seem to be OK with potential slippery places here and there, but we'll take it carefully. We have a long way to go and are willing to stop again tonight if we see we can't get there and get unloaded at a good hour. There are helping hands in Baltimore and a freight elevator operator in our apartment complex to consider, so we'll see.

I have no pictures for now, but I would like to publicly give credit to Kit. She's done amazing so far and has been a real trooper. :) Who says you can't teach an old cat new tricks? (Yes, I know that's a revised version of the saying, but it's what fits!)

Off to breakfast and hopefully and profitable day of driving!
