Wow - that's about all I have to say. We've made one trip to the airport already this morning, picked up the newlyweds' car at the downtown hotel, will make another airport run and then turn our cars toward Baltimore. To say everyone is tired would be a major understatement. I wish our destination wasn't 9-10 hours away or that we were at least in the same car. Unless some major miracle happens en route, I can't imagine going the whole way today. I'm trying not to think about the fact that we may be heading south two weeks from today for another road trip.
It's been an amazing weekend and one of sweet reminders of God's grace, love, and faithfulness. The wedding was pretty much perfect and we even had a little drama as the fire department arrived at the reception. That's a fun story that's much better with pictures so you'll just have to wait for it. :)
It's sad to send my kids off to different states again. I will never be a fan of that, but as "they" say, it is what it is. So I get to practice driving with tears falling for a little while and then take a deep breath to set my face toward what God has next. And I'm thinking that's about to get a little interesting....
Thanks for your encouragement and prayers for safe travel, etc. Keep 'em coming for a while, OK?
Next stop...??

Praying for you, Jill. Your children really are "scattered", but praise be to God that they all love Jesus. :) I am glad things went well. I cannot wait to hear stories and see pictures. Weddings are so emotional and bitter sweet.
Praying for God's peace that surpasses all understanding and that He will make His awesome presence known as you travel back to Baltimore today. Love you all.
I loved your phrase "setting your face toward what God has next". The unknown is not easy, but God sure is good at using it to shape us.
I am so glad things went well. What great memories you have to ponder and revisit! I hope as you continue to drive that you are blessed with a sign of spring here or there. Even the sight of daffodils might make you smile. Love you friend!
